We treat upgrades for GetX as new installs. This is because the Index will need to be rebuilt. But, in addition to the steps for the re-indexing, you must ensure that the old indexing task has been turned off. Otherwise you will continue to index the old version.
** It is very important that all steps you take be done from the server – not a workstation. So, if you are stopping the task for the old Sage 100 version you must be logged onto the server where that old version is installed. Then to setup the 2019 version you must be logged onto the server where 2019 is installed.

First thing to do is stop the old indexing. We have a guide on how to uninstall GetX. You only need to do step #1 in this guide in order to stop the old system Indexing. Again, this must be done while logged onto the server from the version you are upgrading from. When you do this, take note of the settings in for the prior version – you will want to setup 2019 with the same indexing frequency.

Then you can go about the setup process of 2019. It seems you already have it installed. So, now you need to setup the indexing and perform an initial indexing. In this case you can probably skip down to step 6 to setup the indexing. Again, this must be done while logged onto the 2019 server.

You may want to contact your Sage Reseller and have them do these steps. Also, it may be a good idea to do the initial indexing while users are not in the system.
Of course you can contact us if you have any further questions.
